reviewing indie published books

UPDATE 25 APRIL 2014

Although Evie Woolmore isn’t going to be reviewing any more magical realism for a while, allonymbooks author EJ Knight has stepped into the breach to review detective/crime fiction. Books must be available in electronic form.

EJ is never paid for reviewing and all reviews are impartial and honestly given. EJ’s reviews are posted to Amazon and Goodreads, and also all published here on the allonymbooks website.

If you want EJ to review your book, please send a short synopsis and first chapter in electronic format to allonymbooksATgmail.com.

UPDATE 4 January 2014: The review list will be closed for the foreseeable future due to Evie’s other commitments. She will be publishing reviews from time to time, but would like to thank all those authors who have shared their books with her in 2013.

Evie Woolmore is a writer and editor with twenty years experience of the publishing industry, who has written and reviewed widely under a number of pseudonyms on Amazon and Goodreads, as well as for international publishers. She has been a reviewer for Awesome Indies in 2013, a review website whose aim is to promote professional standard indie-published books. She mostly reviews magical realism (think Carlos Ruiz Zafon rather than fantasy), but does consider historical fiction on occasion if it has an Edwardian/late Victorian setting and/or a crime/mystery aspect. She has also reviewed novels by other British indie authors outside her preferred genres.

Evie is never paid for reviewing and all reviews are impartial and honestly given. Evie’s reviews are also all published here on the allonymbooks website.
